MPESB Van Rakshak / Jail Prahari Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- For Van Rakshak, Kshetra Rakshak & Jail Prahari:
Candidates must have passed Class 10 (High School) from a recognized board.
- For Assistant Jail Superintendent: Candidates must possess
a Bachelor’s degree (Graduation) from a recognized university.
Age Limit (as of January 1, 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years (21 Years for Assistant Jail
Superintendent)
- Maximum Age: 33 Years
- Relaxation: Upper age relaxation is applicable for
reserved categories as per government rules.
Physical Standards (Expected)
Since these are executive-level field posts, candidates must
meet specific physical criteria to qualify:
For Male Candidates:
- Height: 163 cm (Van Rakshak) / 165 cm (Jail Prahari)
- Chest: 81 cm (Un-expanded) to 86 cm (Expanded)
For Female Candidates:
- Height: 150 cm (Van Rakshak) / 158 cm (Jail Prahari)

Selection Process
The selection for MPESB Van Rakshak and Jail Prahari posts
consists of multiple stages:

Examination (CBT): A computer-based test covering General Knowledge, General
Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and English.
2. Physical
Efficiency Test (PET): A qualifying test involving running, walking, or shot
put depending on the post.
