What to Do After 4 PM
The declaration of results is just the first step. Based on
the outcome, students should immediately prepare for one of the following three
paths.
Path 1: For Students Who Have Passed – Document
Checklist
If you have successfully passed, your focus should shift to
securing admission for the next academic session. Ensure you have the following
documents ready:
1. Provisional
Marksheet: The printout of the online result downloaded from the UPMSP website
or DigiLocker. Important: This printout must be attested by the Principal of
your previous school to be considered valid for temporary admission until the
original arrives.
2. Transfer
Certificate (TC) / School Leaving Certificate (SLC): A mandatory document for
changing schools. The new school will not grant permanent admission without an
original TC bearing the school's seal and countersignature.
3. Migration
Certificate: Required only if you are changing your educational board (for
example, moving from UP Board to CBSE or ICSE for Class 11). This is issued by
the UP Board regional office.
4. Character
Certificate: Issued by your previous school. It confirms your conduct and
discipline record.
5. Aadhaar Card:
Ensure the name spelling and date of birth on your Aadhaar card match exactly
with your Class 10 marksheet. Discrepancies can lead to form rejection.
6. Passport-Sized
Photographs: Keep at least 5-10 recent color photographs with a white or light
background ready.
Path 2: For Students Not Satisfied with Marks –
Scrutiny Process
If you believe there is a totaling error or a question was
left unevaluated, you can apply for Scrutiny. Note: This is not re-evaluation
of the answer content; it only checks for unmarked answers and calculation
errors.
- Application Window: Opens 2-3 days after the result
declaration and typically lasts for 10-25 days. Students should check the
official website starting April 25.
- How to Apply: The process is online only. Visit upmsp.edu.in,
navigate to the "Scrutiny" section, and fill out the application form
for the specific subject(s).
- Fee: ₹500 per subject (non-refundable). Payment is
typically made via online modes or bank challan.
- Important Warning: Scrutiny can result in marks increasing,
remaining the same, or decreasing based on the review. Apply only after careful
consideration.
Path 3: For Students Who Failed in One or Two Subjects
– Compartment Exams
Students who fail to secure the minimum 33% marks in one or
two subjects (excluding practicals for Class 12) are eligible for the
Compartment Examination.
- Registration: The application link for compartment exams
will be activated on upmsp.edu.in shortly after the main results are declared.
Registration must be completed within the specified window.
- Exam Schedule: The UP Board 10th and 12th compartment
exams are tentatively scheduled for July 2026.
- Exam Timing: Exams are typically conducted in the morning
shift from 8:00 AM to 11:15 AM in offline (pen-paper) mode.
- Preparation: Students should download the compartment exam
time table from the "Download" section of the official website as
soon as it is released to begin targeted preparation.
